The latest PROG Magazine (#172) has arrived, and once again I've gone digging through its pages for some musical discoveries! This week's Prog-Watch features five artists from the new issue—Pye Corner Audio, Intrascendence, Melpomene, Million Moons, and Living In Shadows—along with more new music from Kristoffer Gildenlöw, King of Sweden, If Not If, Man From RavCon, and Jeffrey Erik Mack. Join me for another journey through the wide and wonderful world of progressive music!

This week, Prog-Watch launches a brand new occasionally recurring series celebrating the architects behind some of our favorite recordings...the producers. And who better to inaugurate the series than one of the greatest of them all...the legendary Alan Parsons!

This month's 101 Dimensions (curated by Yours Truly) features electronic, ambient and progressive music from Ozric Tentacles, Jon Jenkins, Radio Massacre International, and Can.

This week our friend and resident reviewer, Dr. Rob Fisher, returns to take a look at a stunning and inspiring album by Dutch artist Dick van der Heijde. A brain stem stroke left Dick unable to move or speak, but thanks to modern AI technology he was able to express his feelings and musical ideas in a moving new record called 'Locked In'. For my part, I'll have new music from Long Earth, Gabriel Zingiber, and Phideaux, and a Beardfish track dedicated to a long time listener and friend of the show.

This week's program is the fourth installment in the Virtuosos series, and looks at drummers! Hear ten defining performances, filled with everything from power, complex groves, and controlled chaos, to subtle nuances and time-changing finesse, from five truly exceptional sticks men!

This week, our friend and resident reviewer, Dr. Rob Fisher, launches a new recurring series entitled Progressive Resonances. In each installment, Rob will explore a universal human theme through the power and emotional resonance of music. The inaugural episode explores loneliness, drawing on music from artists as diverse as Simon & Garfunkel, Fleetwood Mac, Steven Wilson, and Black Sabbath.
